Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Moonwhisper ("we", "the app") handles information when you use the iOS application. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell anything, and most data never leaves your device.
What stays on your device
The following information is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's private container, and is never transmitted to us:
- Your name, birthday, optional birth time, and birth place
- Your selected focus area (Love, Career, Personal Growth, Curiosity)
- All readings, follow-up conversations, and journal entries
- Streak counter and reading history
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all of this data.
What we send to our servers
When you ask the cards or open the horoscope, we send the following to our backend (a Cloudflare Worker) which forwards it to Anthropic ("Claude") to generate the interpretation:
- Your first name (or "Friend" if not set)
- Your zodiac sign (computed from your birthday)
- Your focus area
- The question you typed
- The cards that were drawn and their positions
We do not send your birthday, birth time, birth place, or any device identifier. We do not store these requests on our servers beyond the time needed to generate the response. Anthropic processes the request under its own privacy terms.
Daily rate-limiting uses your IP address, which we hash and discard after 26 hours.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not use any third-party subscription or payments service. We never see your credit card details or your Apple ID — Apple handles all of that and only tells the app whether an active entitlement exists.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, Moonwhisper records anonymous, non-identifying product events via Mixpanel (e.g. "reading_started", "paywall_shown"). No personal data, question text, or interpretation content is included.
Notifications
We schedule one local notification per day (8:00 AM local time) to remind you to draw your daily card. It is created on your device only.
Children
Moonwhisper is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
Because we don't store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to export or delete from us. To remove everything, uninstall the app. Contact us at vereskappledev@gmail.com.

These Terms govern your use of the Moonwhisper iOS application. By installing or using Moonwhisper you agree to them.
1. What Moonwhisper is
Moonwhisper is an iOS app that uses generative AI to produce tarot card interpretations and daily horoscopes. The content is for reflection and entertainment only. It is not medical advice, mental health treatment, legal counsel, financial guidance, or a substitute for professional help of any kind.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Subscriptions and free trial
Moonwhisper offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Weekly, Annual) and a Lifetime non-consumable purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You may cancel or manage your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not seek medical, legal, psychiatric, or financial guarantees.
- Do not harass, threaten, or harm other people.
- Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI backend.
5. Generated content
AI output can be wrong. Use it as a mirror for your own thinking, nothing more.
6. Intellectual property
The Moonwhisper name, branding, app design, and source code are owned by Moonwhisper.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is covered by the Privacy Policy above.
8. Disclaimers
Moonwhisper is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or specific AI outputs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moonwhisper will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data arising out of your use of the app. Total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app and here.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent permitted, otherwise by the laws of the State of California, USA.
